Real Player- Hmmm? I wonder who doesn't have this program. Well this is just here for you downloading enjoyment. While only a player, this is still a remarkable program to view real media files on. It's the only way to go to watch or listen to the best in streaming media (well, Windows Media Player and Real Player are very close in quality). This is the free version of the two real players (the plus version adds better quality but for a price) which has a few cool features. The program now has an equalizer for changing the tones of the sound and integration with Real Jukebox which is their MP3 player. It also carries a list of channels that offer different kinds of Real media. Say if you went onto the Comedy Central channel, the site will open in it's small window and from there you can click on which show you would like to watch. You can also listen to the many of net radio stations. If you want to get into making your own video or music recordings in the real format, you can download real producer although I'd suggest you buy the plus version because the basic one is very limited. You can access all sorts of free (and not free) programs at Real Networks web site.

link www.omnipod.com
Omnipod- This is the first program that I'm showcasing that I actually haven't tried out yet. Omnipod is a do it all type program. With this one download you can Instant Message, E-Mail, Stream Audi and video and even share files with other people. I am very excited about this program and probably have it already by the time you read this. If you like to instant message with Microsoft Instant Messenger, no problem, you can use your hotmail account to instant message on this program too (this isn't solid info, I read that in PC Magazine but it might have changed since, if you try checking the web site it won't help very much). It works as it's own e-mail client also (I probably already mentioned that). This is defiantly the Swiss army knife of the internet and I suggest you try it out!

download www.gozilla.com
Gozilla- So you like to spend allot of time downloading things off the net right? Well this is the utility that you need. This is the ultimate in downloading software. It tells you all the things you need to know about what you're downloading (connection speed, ping time etc.) and more. It even let's you pause your download so you can pick up where you left off later. Those are only some of the great features that come with Gozilla. I only had one minor problem and that was with downloading MP3's from sites such as MP3.com but can be easily fixed. The program is easily turned off when it interferes with certain types of downloads.

Well now you can listen to high quality net music (sometimes CD quality) on the web. This here is the program to get to start off listening to tunes from well known artists to artists just starting off there couriers. Hay maybe one day you'll be an a musical artist too. Spinner has there own list of genres that rage in a wide variety (hair metal?). Has some nice links so you can purchase the song you're listening to and go to the band site. If you want even more variety, try Radio Spy. Radio Spy is more like one big server which host many different stations. You can even make your own station!

http://messenger.msn.com/
MSN Messenger- Hay you ever want to talk to your friend but you can't go to there house? Or maybe it's a relative that's half way around the world. Well now you can talk to them with Microsoft MSN Messenger. It's a great new thing called instant messaging where it's like a chat line but here YOU (I like making words in capitals) get to choose who you talk with. You could hang one on one ore have a group meeting. You could meet a new friend and stay anonymous by showing another name (my online name is most of the time KiefD but I like using different names sometimes). The only thing that are missing from this program is the ability to share files which gives ICQ a slightly higher score. So why did I write about this program rather then ICQ? Maybe it's cause I'm the only person in this world who thinks Microsoft isn't evil (but if you guys hate him much, how's he getting all that money?).
Tip: You'll have to get a hotmail account first to use this program.

download www.napster.com
Napster- This is the ultimate program for downloading new MP3's (unless you've been living under a rock you should know what MP3 is). You can get just about any one of your favorite songs or artist by just typing their names in and downloading. It works over a network where you download from other users computer (they can also download from yours but if your uncomfortable with this you can always block them from accessing your computer). When listing the song it shows specs for the sound quality and connection speed so you get the fastest downloads. Although this all sounds great, there are some legal issues. Many members have been banned from using the program because of illegal use of copyrighted music. Many lawsuits have been filed against Napster so you should get it now before it's gone.
